The Vorarlberger Landestheater is an important Austrian multi-genre theatre. From 2009 to 2017 Kubelka increased the number of visitors by 40%. In 2017, more than twice as many people visit the theatre as the city of Bregenz has inhabitants. 

Additionally to regular program numerous open-air productions, the founding of the venue in Bildstein, regular commissioned works and world premieres in drama, music and opera theatre were implemented and the "Junges Landestheater" division was significantly expanded.
